LYO: The Basics
The LYO is a youth string orchestra (violin, viola, cello, bass) associated with the Livingston Symphony Orchestra. If you are a middle or high-school aged student that plays violin, viola, cello, or bass, we want you to join us!
Rehearsals: Mondays, 5:30 – 7:00 PM at 2|42 Church in Brighton.
Skill Level: This ensemble is designed for intermediate string players learning to master bow control, vibrato, and shifting into higher positions. Students who have mastered proper position and who play with accurate intonation and resonant tone are eligible for this orchestra.
Auditions: August 17 from 12-5 PM at Maltby Intermediate School in Brighton. Please fill out this online registration form and/or send an email to info.livingstonsymphony@gmail.com or call 586-214-6817 to schedule a time slot.

Cost: $250
Commitment: Full season from September to May. Two concert performances a year.
