Join the Livingston Symphony Orchestra (LSO) this Saturday, December 21st for our festive annual holiday concert. Our 25th anniversary season continues as the Livingston Youth Symphony (LYO) once again joins us for a night of favorite holiday classics and more.
The holiday concert opens with Joseph Alcocer conducting the growing Livingston Youth Orchestra (LYO) as they perform three pieces that they’ve been working on since the start of the season: Midnight Adventure, Night Shift and Gauntlet. Next the LSO will perform Humperdinck’s whimsical prelude to the fairy tale opera Hänsel and Gretel, which is full of rich melodies. After that, the LYO and the LSO combine to perform Trepak from “The Nutcracker”.
Following intermission, the LSO’s brass quintet will perform Saints Hallelujah. Next the LSO will perform many holiday favorites including Minor Alterations, Sleigh Ride, Stille Nacht, and conclude the evening with the popular Christmas Festival. Tickets are available at the door and now online.
